‘Online inlaws’ get what they deserve as Banky W and wife, Adesua, break silence on Niyola rumours

Musician turned politician Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W, and his Nollywood star of a wife Adesua have reacted to viral reports of an impending breakup.

Lagos-based Banky W, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Eti-Osa House of Representatives seat under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party, is an accomplished musician loved by millions in Nigeria and abroad.

His wife, Adesua, is an irresistibly beautiful delight in one of the biggest movie industries in the world, Nollywood.

The couple, although admitting to never intending to marry anyone on the entertainment scene, met in 2015 and tied the know two years later. Apart from Banky W’s unintentional exposure of his wife’s almost-bare backside during one of their not-secret-at-all post-wedding couple’s treats in 2017, the man and his wife have enjoyed a relatively scandal-less union.

So, social media was set on fire when rumours began flying up and about over the weekend that the ‘faithful’ husband material impregnated another woman said to be his former label mate.

The rumour mongers went on the claim that the ‘affair’ had been going on for years with a handful of abortions in the mix. Eniola Akinbo, aka Niyola, is the women Banky W has been cheating with, the rumours said. The duo, it was claimed, had been ‘in love’ before Banky W set his sights on Adesua.

The mistress, according to the rumours, was not interested in eliminating the latest pregnancy. She was, they claimed, also going to blow the lid on the extramarital affair and expose Banky W for the cheating husband he’s been.

The rumours emanated after social media users began jumping to conclusions from content posted by controversial blog, Gistlover.

The concerned (actually, they don’t care) social media users, aka online inlaws, were mad at Bank W. How could he cheat on a woman as stunning as Adesua?! Yes, Niyola is cute too, but c’mon!

Many cursed him. Some said bald men like Tuface, Yul Edochie and (now) Banky W couldn’t be trusted to keep their third leg to their matrimonial love. Many asked, “What do men really want?”

Pastor Banky W was the first to react to the hullabaloo. On Sunday, the singing politician who has gone viral in recent time for preaching in Christian gatherings, reminded his social media followers to go to church.

Mrs Wellington then responded with a message of her own but it didn’t seem to be the gbas gbos the online inlaws were expecting.

The social media post inspired a fan to comment that this was a subtle message to online in-laws to simply mind their business.

And maybe that’s what the message these inlaws deserve. Or is there something the power couple are trying to hide? Is Niyola really pregnant for Banky W again?
