Man arrested over deadly attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman

Yusuf Isah, a 32-year-old plumber from Okene, Kogi State, has been arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in the deadly attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman, the senior pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, and his convoy.

The attack, which occurred on October 21, 2022, along the Benin-Auchi Road in Edo state, claimed the lives of six people, including three policemen who were escorting the cleric.

Police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi, who briefed journalists in Abuja, said that Isah was nabbed by the operatives of the Intelligence Rapid Team after a thorough investigation.

He said that Isah was found in possession of five AK 47 rifles, two K2 assault rifles, 180 live ammunition and four suspected improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in his apartment at Agbaraoluwa Phase 2 Ijoka, Akure, Ondo state.
