Harrison Gwamnishu, a young aide to the Delta’s secretary to the state government (SSG) has left his job.
He announced his decision on social media on Wednesday.
“If killing us will stop the harassment, extra judicial killings and extortion by Nigeria Police and other Security Agencies in Nigeria, then Harrison is ready to die.
“The 5of5 (to end police brutality and reform law enforcement) demands have been violated by the Federal Government shooting and killing unarmed protesters.
“We all desire a country where we all will live freely without fear of those who are paid to protect lives.
“My name is Harrison Gwamnishu, I have just submitted my resignation letter to Delta State Government.
“I also returned the sum of N100,000 Panel sitting allowance disbursed to me as a member of the panel.
“May the labour of our heroes past not be in vain.”
