The body of Blessing Otunla, a graduate of English from the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has been found.
The deceased was in the nation’s capital from Oyo state to sort her certificate and transcript of results, but went missing.
Her unclad remains was discovered at the weekend in a drain at Iddo Sarki village, Airport Road.
Reports say she was raped and killed.
A relative, Ayobami, lamented Blessing’s fate via his Twitter page ((@dondekojo).
“I lost a cousin, and it’s emblematic of the state of the country. Why do graduates need to travel all the way for a transcript? She travelled to Abuja for her transcript and was found dead in a gutter,” he wrote.
The incident occurred weeks after Iniubong Umoren, a job seeker Philosophy graduate of the University of Uyo (UniUyo), died in a similar circumstance.
The young man who informed her of a job opportunity, Uduak Akpan, confessed to have raped and murdered Ini.
FCT police spokesperson Mariam Yusuf said the security agency is investigating the tragedy.
Yusuf said police commissioner Bala Ciroma has ordered a manhunt for the perpetrators.
The command commiserated with the family of the deceased and urged residents to provide information through 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.
