Zaria: Gunmen kidnap 10 students, demand N30 million ransom for one

The parents of Jemimah Badmus must pay N30 million if they want to see their daughter again, kidnappers have reportedly demanded.
Jemimah, a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, was reportedly kidnapped along Abuja-Kaduna Highway.
At least nine other students were kidnapped shortly after they left Kaduna for a road trip to Lagos around 2pm on Sunday.
The victims, according to Peoples Gazette, are all 300 level students of the Department of French who were embarking on a road trip to Lagos for a mandatory language imerssion programme at the Nigeria French Language Village in Badagry.
The trip was initially delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
A source reportedly said that the kidnappers have reach out to the family one of the victims, Jemimah Badmus, demanding for a N30 million ransom.
It is not immediately clear how much random the gunmen were demanding for the other students.
The multiple kidnapping came amid rising insecurity in northern Nigeria.
