I won’t die before my successor takes over — Pastor Ibiyeomie
The founding pastor of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, said he does not intend to die before handing over the reins of the church to another man of God.
Ibiyeomie said he would, however, be correcting his successor when he makes mistakes in his preaching.
“When I’m 86, I will still be in service, without walking stick,” the Port Harcourt pastor said.
“There is a woman here that is in her 90s. She doesn’t use walking stick, so why should I use walking stick?
“My successor will be preaching, and I will tell him, ‘No, do it this way, do it that way.’
“I won’t die before my successor takes over. I will be alive. I will just come and give fatherly blessings.
“Elijah does not need to go before Elisha takes over,” he said.
