Arsenal fail Liverpool test after throwing first punch

Arsenal FC’s promising start to the Premier League hit a roadblock at Anfield on Monday night after champions Liverpool came from behind to show who is boss.

The Gunners took an early lead after Andy Robertson gifted Alexandre Lacazette the ball with Allison unable to stop the Frenchman’s scrambled finish.

Liverpool quickly responded with a Sadio Mane equalizer before Robertson atoned for his schoolboy error by putting the hosts 2-1 ahead.

New signing Diogo Jota capped the night for the impressive champions to end the game at 3-1.

The result means Liverpool, who won the Premier League for the first time last season, have maintained a hundred per cent start to the new campaign.
