Supreme Court should decide 2020 election — Donald Trump
The US Supreme Court should determine the results of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump says.
President Trump made the declaration after exit polls showed Democratic challenger Joe Biden crossing the 270 electoral college votes needed for clincing the White House on Friday.
Trump said Biden’s showing is dependent on fraudulent mail-in ballots which he intends to fight in court.
While Biden said every vote must count, Trump said only legal ballots should.
“I easily win the Presidency of the United States with legal votes cast,” Trump said.
“The (election) observers were not allowed, in any way, shape, or form, to do their job and therefore, votes accepted during this period must be determined to be illegal votes.
“US Supreme Court should decide,” Trump said.
The Biden campaign said Friday the government would escort Trump from the White House should he refuse to leave.
“The American people will decide this election,” the campaign said.
“And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”
