Senator Abbo ‘ordered to pay N50m’ to woman he slapped at sex toy shop
A magistrate court in Abuja earlier cleared Senator Abbo of wrongdoing in spite of the senator’s public admission of guilt and apology.
An FCT high court has reportedly awarded the sum of N50 million in damages against Senator Elisha Abbo who was caught on tape assaulting a woman in a sex toy shop in Abuja.
The money will be paid to Osimibira Warmarte whom Abbo, according to leaked security footage, verbally and physically assaulted on May 11, 2019, one of the victim’s lawyers tweeted on Monday.
A magistrate court in Abuja earlier cleared Senator Abbo of wrongdoing in spite of the senator’s public admission of guilt and apology.
The Abuja court, however, awarded Warmate N50 million in damages on Monday.
It is not immediately clear is Abbo, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker from Adamawa North, will appeal the ruling.
