Former presidency media aide Reno Omokri has advised men and women to abstain from sex outside marriage.
Omokri issued the advice in a YouTube video on Thursday night. The video was part of his “Mind of Christ Mastermind Mentoring Programme,” he said.
He said women are more vulnerable to premarital sex because they lose one year if it results in pregnancy while the men who put them in the family way go on with their lives with little or no consequence.
“Men are admired and praised for bedding multiple women but women are diminished for sleeping around,” he said.
Omokri said he heard several people shower accolades on former president Olusegun Obasanjo because of what they believe was his capacity to woo and have sexual relations with many women. He said people seldom see promiscuous females in the same light.
Sex is no ordinary affair, Omokri said, adding that SEX is an acronym for “Spiritual Energy Xchange”. He said God designed that energy to be exchanged with one partner in the context of marriage.
Omokri, who was a spokesperson to Goodluck Jonathan when the former president signed a bill criminalising same-sex marriage, also took a swipe at gay rights activists.
He said those who believe men and women should have homesexual relations are “useless”.
