NBC fails to delete Twitter account after telling Nigerian stations to delete theirs
The official Twitter handle of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is still active.
This is despite NBC’s directive to broadcasters to delete their Twitter accounts and stop using the social media platform as a news source.
NBC has over 24,000 followers on Twitter. The account was live as of 3pm today.
NBC said it issued the directive in order to enforce the Muhammadu Buhari regime’s ban on Twitter.
The ban was issued after Twitter deleted a tweet in which Buhari threatened to unleash violence on separatists.
