‘Islamic scholar masturbates while assaulting female student on moving bus’
This story rubbishes the arguement that indecent dressing, so-called, is to blame for rape and other sex crimes.
An ustaz, someone supposedly trained in Islamic knowledge, is alleged to have sexually assaulted a student on a moving bus.
The said ustaz has not been named. His said victim was clad in hijab from head to toe. That did nothing to stop the sexual assault, the victim said.
The alleged sexual assault happened over over a course of six hours, Farida Adamu, who claims to be the victim said on Monday.
Adamu, who is part of “ArewaMeToo,” a movement which, among other things, fights to protect girls in Nigeria’s predominantly Muslim north from sexual predators, said the incident happened while she was in school.
“I once sat beside an ustaz on a trip from Gombe to Abuja,” she said in a tweet.
“He had an erection and ejaculated while rubbing my thighs. I sat through that hell for like six hours.
“I was in school then, mostly broke and didn’t have the option of dropping off. I wore hijab, fully covered.”
