Ondo: Herdsmen stick to open grazing despite government ban
Some herdsmen have reportedly refused to comply with a government ban on open grazing in the South-West.
Governors in the region had banned open grazing as part of measures to stop herdsmen from vandalising farms.
The measures were also put in place to curb the criminal activities of bandits.
But some herdsmen were, on Thursday, spotted with their cows openly grazing in Odigbo, a community in Ondo state.
This is not the first time herdsmen will break grazing rules in Nigeria. The flouting of such rules is common in Benue and other states of the Middle-Belt where open grazing has been outlawed.
