A Nigerian father has sent a passionate appeal to Christ Embassy founder Pastor Chris Oyakhilome after the man’s son donated their family house to the church.
The son, named Shadrach, was said to have relocated from the US to Nigeria and given his life to Christ at the church which is also called LoveWorld Incorporated or Believers’ Loveworld.
One year ago, Shadrach, according to his father, donated his car to Christ Embassy.
After that, Shadrach’s father learned that his son had also “sowed” the family house to the church as a “sacrificial seed,” a practice common in Pentecostal Christianity in which believers surrender valuable property to the church for a bigger reward from God.
Shadrach is said to have an 80 per cent stake in the house while his cousins and the rest of the family have 20 per cent.
Should the church take possession of the house, Shadrach’s old man, his other children and their tenants would be rendered homeless, the man explained in a video shared online, Sunday.
The old man said he contacted the Warri headquarters of the church and was given assurances that the church would return the house documents to the family. He said he decided to go public after the church refused to fulfill its promise one month after making it.
The old man begged Pastor Chris Oyakhilome to prevail on his Warri, Delta State head cleric to return the house to the family.
