Niger shuts schools as Buhari orders army to rescue Kagara students

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the military to rescue the hundreds of Kagara students bandits just abducted in Niger State.
A large number of gunmen dressed in military uniforms stormed the Government Science College (GSC) in the town of Kagara late Tuesday before hauling students into a nearby forest, it has now been confirmed.
Some teachers were also kidnapped in the night raid. The number of students who were taken captive from the 1000-pupil school is not yet clear.
In reaction to the kidnapping, which came weeks after bandits forcefully took boys from a school in Kankara, Katsina, the Niger State Government has ordered the closure of all boarding schools.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian military are tracking the movement of the kidnappers, PR Nigeria reported.
