Niger government parades freed Kagara boys
The Niger State Government has presented the recently-freed Kagara boys to the press and the general public.
Recall that some students of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State were kidnapped by bandits alongside teachers and their family members.
The armed bandits also killed an SSS3 pupil who tried to escape.
The incident created nationwide agitation over school safety and national security under a President Muhammadu Buhari that was a general in the army.
The Kagara boys have now been released and have been presented to the public on Saturday.
Peoples Gazette had reported that the government paid the bandits N800 million after which the boys were then released earlier.
But the government denied the claim.
