Munero: Alleged serial killer dies as armed youths clash in Surulere, Lagos
One person has been confirmed dead during a clash between some youths in Aguda area of Surulere, Lagos, on Sunday.
State police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident in a statement in Lagos, NAN reports.
Adejobi said that 12 suspects have been arrested in connection with the clash.
According to him, one Munero, a male, died during the mayhem, while arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
“Munero is alleged to be a serial killer in the area and was lynched by irate youths,” Adejobi said.
“We have restored normalcy to the area,” he said.
Adejobi said that police commissioner Hakeem Odumosu had deployed additional men to the area under the supervision of “Area C“ Commander, Fatai Tijani.
“We will still arrest more as we continue our investigation into the matter,” Adejobi added.
