Lekki shooting: Southwest senators visit alleged crime scene

Sixteen senators from Nigeria’s southwest have arrived Lagos to visit the Lekki Toll Plaza where soldiers allegedly opened fire on protesters.

The senators said the trip is part of their “sympathy” visit to the venue.

They also want to assess the damage as well as visit Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The senators present are:
