Ikpeazu to rub minds with Abia youth on Valentine’s Day
The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has scheduled February 14, a day people devote to the folks they love, to interact with the state’s teeming youth.
The get-together, christened “Abia Social Media Converge”, will hold at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Government House, Umuahia, where participants are to engage the governor on matters affecting the state.
“There will be games, prizes to be won, networking, suya party and so on,” the organisers said in a statement.
Young people will have ample opportunity to ask the governor anything and engage him at any level including, cracking jokes and throwing light-hearted banters at him.
The lead speaker of the day is the special adviser on media and publicity to the President, Mr Femi Adesina. He will deliver a speech on social media and good governance.
Abia House Speaker Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji will prominently feature as a notable moderator.
The media coordinator for the day, Don Norman Obinna, said:
“It is planned in such a way that it will afford young Abians the rare privilege to sit face-to-face with their governor in an atmosphere of love and ask questions on good governance, infrastructure, healthcare, education, salary and pension.
“It’s going to be fun. The Abia youth are expected to put the governor on the hot seat and even crack jokes with him.
“Governor Ikpeazu will take on all comers, no-holds-barred, for good political interaction and fireworks in lovers’ mood.”
The event, which is put together by the ministry of information will commence at 2pm. The Realm News is one of the several media partners for the day.
