IGP Adamu unveils police microfinance bank
To improve the welfare of its personnel.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, Wednesday, launched the police Microfinance Bank (NPF-MFB) e-banking technology, mobile banking app and the *5757# USSD code.
This, according to the police, buttressed the commitment of the Force to improve the welfare of its personnel.
“The Microfinance Bank will provide financial services such as retail banking, soft loans and advances, financial advisory,” IGP Adamu said during the launching at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He added, “the initiative will help improve banking experience, customer interaction and operational efficiencies for both serving and retired police officers.”
Others who are to benefit from the initiative are the general public that owns accounts and does other financial transactions with the NPF-Microfinance Bank.
According to IGP Adamu, “the NPF-MFB is fast growing as one of the leading Microfinance Bank in Nigeria since its establishment on 19th May 1993.”
