Herdsmen: Fire destroys Sunday Igboho’s house in Soka, Ibadan
There was a major fire incident at the home of Sunday Igboho in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The fire reportedly began around 3am on Tuesday after electricity providers interrupted power supply.
Images shared online showed the fire largely destroyed the house located in Soka area of Ibadan.
It is not immediately clear if Sunday Igboho was home when the fire started. Witnesses say some persons set the building on fire. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
“It’s one of the old houses of Sunday Igboho,” a witness said.
Igboho, whose real name is Sunday Adeyemo, has been in the news since declaring an unlawful quit notice against Fulani settlers days ago.
Igboho and his supporters accuse Fulani communities and herdsmen of kidnapping, rape and murder. They want them expelled from the South-West.
