‘Get ready to cooperate,’ armed robbers notify Ikorodu residents of Christmas invasion
Tension is rising in the Ikorodu area of Lagos over a recent surge in cult clashes, armed robbery, rape and other violent crimes.
Since thugs allegedly hired by state actors disrupted peaceful protests against police brutality in October, criminal gangs have begun taking advantage of the security vacuum left by police apathy to terrorise Ikorodu residents.
One of them have now gotten so bold that it sent a notice of armed robbery, with dates, to residents whom they urge to “cooperate or heads will roll”.
The notice above was sent to the residents of Dejuwogbo an area around Ota Ona going towards Itamaga. The notice was sent by a suspected gang which called itself “Team 13”.
The suspected gang threatened to strike on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Residents are urging the authorities to help safeguard their community.
