Court grants Ndume bail despite Maina’s no-show

Senator Ali Ndume will be released from Kuje Prison after the Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail.

Justice Okon Abang said, Friday, he chose to grant Ndume bail based on his record of good behaviour before the court.

The Borno South was detained in prison for his inability to produce Abdulrasheed Maina who is being tried over an alleged N2 billion pension fraud.

Ndume stood as surety for Maina who has been deemed to have jumped bail.

Ndume can now be released from jail as Maina’s whereabouts remain unknown.
