Babalawo follows Omoyele Sowore to court
Activist publisher Omoyele Sowore appeared before the Magistrate Court Wuse Zone 2 in Abuja on Tuesday.
The appearance bordered on Sowore’s “crossover protest” in Abuja on New Year’s Eve.
Recall that Sowore and others were arrested over the protest and charged to court for “disturbing public peace” and breaking lockdown restrictions.
Sowore, who was seen with a pastor during last hearing of the case, showed up with a native doctor, or babalawo, this time.
The babalawo said he followed Sowore to court as a sign of solidarity.
