Agbazuere: Abia governor’s chief of staff suspended after ‘spraying money on Prophet Odumeje’
Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has directed the immediate suspension of his chief of staff, Anthony Agbazuere.
This is according to a statement issued by state government secretary Chris Ezem on Sunday.
“The Permanent Secretary, Government House, Alozie Odoemelam, will perform the duties of the office of chief of staff until further notice,” the statement read.
The government did not state any reason for suspending Agbazuere but sources say the action was due to the chief of staff’s recent public show with free-spirited clergyman Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje.
In a leaked video making the rounds, Agbazuere is seen dancing with and spraying money on Odumeje.

The act reportedly took place inside Abia State Government House in Umuahia during Odumeje’s visit to Agbazuere.
Many Nigerians condemned the act and accused the chief of staff of bringing the name of his boss and Abia State into disrepute.
