Ada Jesus: Nigerian comedienne ‘dies after insulting Prophet Odumeje’
Popular Nigerian Comedienne, Ada Jesus, has reportedly died.
Ada Jesus, whose real name is Mercy Cynthia Ginikanwa, passed on a few days after marking her birthday on hospital bed, reports say.
The comeddianne had, according to multiple reports, been bedridden inside an Abuja hospital where she was receiving treatment for kidney failure.
Ada Jesus was 24 years old.
Many of her fans and critics blamed her ill health on her repeated criticism and mockery of Nigerian pastors.
Prior to her reported death, Ada Jesus was said to have repeatedly questioned the authenticity of hilarious Christian cleric Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje.
She was also said to have been engaged in a controversy with Nollywood actress Rita Edochie who was forced to openly forgive the comedianne after some Nigerians blamed her for Ada Jesus’ health challenges.
