3 feared killed as youths, Customs clash over bags of rice
Three people may have been killed after men of the Nigeria Customs Service reportedly opened fire at suspected rice smugglers in Ogun State.
There was chaos Tuesday morning as Customs stormed the Ayetoro, Yewa North local government area of the state after a tip off, reports say.
The incident, according to reports, happened at the Kikelomo area in Ayetoro. The Customs officers were reportedly told that several bags of rice had been snuggled into the area.
Officers reportedly opened fire after meeting resistance from youths in the area.
At least three people may have been killed, some by stray bullets, reports say.
