2 killed, houses, palace burnt as attackers invade Ondo community
At least two persons were reportedly killed during an attack on Isinigbo Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The attackers invaded the community on Friday morning to wreck havoc, reports say.
Police have confirmed the attack but the casualty figure is not immediately clear.
Reports say suspected hoodlums burnt down many houses, including the palace of the traditional ruler of the community.
Observers are linking the violence to the communal crisis between Isinigbo and neighbouring Ode community.
Reports say Ode was attacked a few days ago, suggesting that the latest mayhem in Isinigbo was a reprisal.
