VIDEO: Youths block Lagos-Ibadan highway, tell politicians to explain plans for Nigeria’s future

“Questions for politicians and Religious Leaders,” read a banner held by the youths who blocked the Lagos-Ibadan highway today.

“There is no movement on a national level,” the banner read.

The protesters mounted their fiery blockades at Enyo Filling Station, inward Kara Bridge, not far from the popular Berger bus stop, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said in an Instagram post.

The action caused traffic gridlocks on adjoining routes as police reportedly pleaded with the protesters to leave.

The protesters torched tyres in the middle of the road on both sides of the highway, denying motorists the freedom to move.
