Treat all Nigerians equally or let’s go our separate ways — Reno Omokri

Former presidency spokesperson Reno Omokri says it’s better for Nigerians to go their separate ways if everyone won’t be treated equally.

Omokri made the comment in reference to the herdsmen saga currently raging between the Ondo State Government and President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

The state government, had on Monday, directed unregistered herdsmen to vacate forest reserves within seven days. But Buhari’s spokesperson Garba Shehu said Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had no constitutional power to expell herdsmen under the guise of fighting insecurity.

A state government official responded by saying the Buhari regime is emotionally attached to herdsmen.

“Look at Garba Shehu saying herdsmen have a right to live and do their business anywhere in the country, yet an Igbo man does not have the right to live and sell alcohol in Kano,” Omokri weighed in via a social media post on Wednesday.

“A Yoruba man does not have the right to run a pig farm in Sokoto. (Borno governor) Zulum can accuse Christians (of being part of Boko Haram), but (Sokoto Bishop) Kukah can’t comment on the state of country?

“What type of unequal union is this?

“Alcohol is haram, but killing innocent Nigerians by herdsmen is not haram?

“We can do our own in your land, but you can’t do your own in our land. We are either all equal or we all go our separate ways!”
