Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel wins court case against ‘rebellious’ Ghanaian bishop

Bishop George Adjeman was the country overseer of Faith World Church Worldwide, alias Winners Chapel, in Ghana.

But about 16 years ago, he allegedly broke away from the church which was founded by Bishop David Oyedepo in Nigeria. The church then dragged him to court to reclaim its name and assets.

The Ghana Court of Appeal, according to reporting by Church Gist, has now ruled in favour of the Oyedepo-led Winners’ Chapel.

According to the judgment delivered on November 30, all properties in possession of Adjeman’s Winner Chapel are to be returned Oyedepo’s church. Winners Chapel International (WCI) is also to have exclusive use of the name “Winners Chapel”.
