Nigeria running ‘Kabiyesi Democracy’ where Buhari is king of kings — Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe
Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe has unloaded on the Muhammadu Buhari government for the “autocratic” way it is running Nigeria.
Abaribe blasted the Buhari government during a forum on Friday.
According to the Abia-South senator, Nigeria is running a “Kabiyesi Democracy” where Buhari is the all in all.
Abaribe is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He is not the only one in his party who thinks the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) treats Buhari like an unquestionable deity.
On Thursday, PDP strategist Oke Umurhohwo echoed the same sentiment.
“For all its faults, the PDP is a political party,” he said in a Facebook post.
“The APC isn’t a political party. It’s a monarchy. Even the tyrannical former president Olusegun Obasanjo had to explain himself to the PDP leadership.
“With Buhari and the APC it is a ‘ranka dede’ relationship. He explains himself to no one.”
