Nigeria: Is Buhari President of the North?
Former presidency media aide Reno Omkri has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari for “tribal and religious nepotism”.
Omokri made his comment after Buhari appointed former Lagos military governor Buba Marwa as the director-general of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
“I congratulate Buba Marwa on his appointment by Buhari as DG of the NDLEA,” Omokri wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.
“But I have a question: Is it that Buhari will die if he appoints a qualified southerner to a strategic position?”
Omokri said the president has handed over strategic national institutions to muslims from the northern part of Nigeria.
He said that under Buhari, “northern muslims” now lead the executive, the legislature, the judiciary, defence, army, police, air force, NSA, NNPC, EFCC, DSS, DMI, DIA, NIA, customs, immigration and prisons
Omokri asked: “Is Buhari a Nigerian President of Northern extraction or a Northern President of Nigeria?”
