Bandits kidnap Alhaji on way to Ilorin hospital

Suspected bandits have kidnapped 46-year tipper owner Alhaji Musa Garba Atere.

Atere is said to have been kidnapped along Ogundele-Madi road in Ilorin West local government of Kwara State on Tuesday.

The kidnapping occured around 6am, reports say.

Atere was on his way to Ilorin General Hospital alongside his wife. They were, according to reports, seeking medical treatment for their “critically ill” eight- year-old daughter.

“I gave them all in my possession in order to avoid maltreatment but they later took my husband into the bush,” the wife reportedly said.

“I stood helplessly, watched my husband being dragged into the bush, and cried for help but no one was around to assist”, she cried.

The matter, according to multiple sources, has been reported to the police.
